What are the requirements for my tow vehicle?

To ensure safe & proper towing of our trailers, please make sure your vehicle has the following:

- a 2750 lb. towing capacity

- a class 3 hitch (2" receiver)

- a 2” ball hitch (height between 22” - 25" from the ground) - a 4-flat or 7-pin connection for trailer wiring

Our trailers come standard with a 4-flat connection, but we can accommodate a 7-blade connection as well. Please indicate what connection you have in the checkout questions.

What are your rates?

Our rates fluctuate throughout the year and depending on the unit that you're renting.

2022 Original TOPO units are $110/night during the low season (April & October) and $140/night during the peak season (May - September). 2022 TOPO2 units are $160/night during the low season and $200/night during peak season.

There are many differences between the two models, the main being the single-piece fiberglass shell construction of the TOPO2 as opposed to the wood and aluminum construction of the Original TOPO. Functionally, they're both very similar and will provide an excellent Escapod experience. We charge per night, which means if you pick up on Friday and return on a Sunday, you are paying for 2 nights, not 3 days.

For early & late season Original TOPO rentals, we have to "winterize" the water system, which means the water tank and water heater will be unusable. We still send you out with a 6-gallon jerry can of water that you can refill on the road. To better understand the winterization process click below.

What time is pickup/dropoff?

Our standard pickup time is 3 pm MT and our standard dropoff time is anytime before 5 pm MT. You can request an early pickup at 10 a.m. for a $50 additional charge.

We do not currently allow for weekend pickups, but you can return your trailer on the weekend.
