The Original TOPO

All good things come to an end.

Bred for adventure and built for those who yearned to escape the beaten path, the Original TOPO teardrop trailer gave Escapod its start. This product will always be looked upon fondly, but new horizons lie ahead. The 2022 model year will mark the final production run of the Original TOPO as we ramp up production on the TOPO2.

Exterior

The Original TOPO's trailer body was 5' x 8', built on a hand-welded 2" x 2" frame of galvanized USA steel for full protection from the elements. All Original TOPO Series teardrop trailers' exterior walls and roofs were made of lightweight, corrosion-resistant aluminum. #TowAndBehold

The Original TOPO teardrop trailer was designed to handle the most rugged terrain. This teardrop could follow you anywhere your JEEP could go. The Original TOPO came equipped with Thule cross bars to haul gear and a ROAM Awning to provide shade & shelter when mother nature joined the party. With a torsion axel rated to 3500 lbs and triple redundant water-proofing, you were truly #FreeToRoam.

Galley

The TOPO Series galley was ready to become your open-air kitchen on the road. It was constructed with waterproof HDPE, a stainless steel countertop and came stock with LED lighting, two drawers & rear cabinets to store cooking essentials that double as your table and cutting board.

Built in cutting board

You didn't have to eat meals out of a foil bag just because you were miles from the nearest restaurant. The Original TOPO's galley was a game-changer - ready for gourmet cooking on the go. With ample counter-space for food prep, you could put your knife skills to the test. There was also a storage area for a YETI Tundra 65 with a locking slide-out drawer for easy access.

Interior

Four cabinets, two cubbies and a closed compartment behind the bed offered all the storage you needed for clothing & gear. The TOPO Series teardrop trailer build was complete with recessed warm LED lighting and two dual USB chargers on either side of the bed.

After a long day's adventure, you could lay your head back and stare at the vast universe through the Original TOPO's 9" x 41" stargazer window. The cabin came equipped with a 5" custom memory foam Utah queen mattress. All Original TOPO teardrop campers came stock with two doors for easy entry & exit. There was no need to crawl over your partner for a midnight bathroom break! The 4-speed exhaust fan offered exceptional climate control and the insulated walls, ceiling, and floor allowed for year-round adventuring.
