MEET THE TEAM
—Founded Escapod in June, 2016. Ex-restauranteur and life-long adventure and outdoor enthusiast. Loves bananas and questionable risk-taking.
This journey started like most, with a crazy idea, a beer or two, and sketch drawn on a napkin. Jen and I were always traveling and adventuring — our summertime passion is to jump in the car after the work-week and hit the road in search of the best mountain biking within a 12-hour drive. We soon got sick of packing cars with tents, cookwares, food, coolers, water, 2 dogs...you get the point. We decided that we needed a faster, more comfortable way to travel. There was one "must have", it couldn't hold us back from getting to the best camping spots. Thus, we started looking at teardrop trailers, after an extensive search we found that everything on the market was either under-built or over-priced. With that, Escapod was born.
Years in management has given me the skills to run a successful business and a whole life of working with my hands gave me the ability to build and design a high quality teardrop trailer for you to enjoy for years to come. I can only hope that you find a connection with Escapod and the people who make this dream a reality, and I hope that we can share our love for the out-of-doors with you though our teardrop trailers.

A chance opportunity to travel with an early Escapod prototype for six weeks with my girlfriend, Ale, and dog, Frankie, was an eye opener - I was done with the city, the desk jobs and intangibles of the digital design world. I wanted to head to the mountains and finally be part of building something of my own, from the ground up. With lots of history and a mutual affinity for risk, Chris and I decided to give a working partnership a shot.
Chris and I come from very different backgrounds and have different skill sets, but a similar perspective on hard work and a high bar for quality is whole-heartedly shared.
When not at the shop, find me climbing, hiking the trails with Ale and Frankie, or competing at something (anything!) with Chris - business partner and chief rival in all things adventurous.
—Co-Founded Escapod with Chris in her Mom’s garage. Retired pro skier. Coffee fanatic. Chief good-advice-giver.
Prior to my work at Escapod, I was a professional halfpipe skier. I have two X-Games gold medals and two World Championship Titles to my name. But, if my face looks familiar, it may be because you saw me race to the finals in Season 30 of CBS' The Amazing Race! To put things lightly, I LOVE TRAVEL & ADVENTURE! Chris & I weren't sure where Escapod would lead when we built the first prototype, we just needed a lightweight, rugged teardrop trailer that would be ready to go when we were. Now we get to experience the joy of making other people's dreams come true. Packed within these teardrop trailer walls is infinite potential for your wildest adventures! Have fun!

When I'm not sailing the infinite waters of the Internet, you can find me reading books and eating bagels in Brooklyn's Prospect Park – my only tree-lined sanctuary within walking distance. For me, working with Escapod became a perfect marriage of nature, technology, and community. Building a brand that will enhance, not interrupt, Americans' relationship with nature has been one of the most spiritually fulfilling missions I've had thus far.
