12 Essential Items for your Camping Trailer

By Jess VernonOctober 03, 2022

While you wait in the queue for your TOPO2 camping trailer, it’s never too early to start thinking about how you’d like to deck it out!

Your pod will be rigged with the best features out there, but what’s a bed without sheets or a kitchen without a spatula? We know there’s a lot to consider, so our team has put together our favorite must-haves for the cabin & galley to help you get your pod ready for life on the road!

Cabin Essentials

The roomy cabin of the TOPO2 will be the perfect spot to reflect on the day’s adventures, take time to recover from excursions, and hunker down when Mother Nature throws poor weather your way. Adding some extras to your cabin provides even more comfort and functionality to improve the experience

Let’s start with your bed! You’ll have a true queen 6” memory foam mattress in your TOPO2, so any queen-size sheets with be the perfect fit! To complete your ideal bedding set, you’ll want to add some pillows & blankets to round things out.

We’ve loved using Puffy Rumpls because they keep you warm and are easy to wash, but if you need a little extra heat, you can’t go wrong with a wool blanket option!

A nice and tidy cabin space makes camping easy. Packing cubes go a long way in helping with this. You can use these packing cubes to transport clothes from your home to your trailer, keep things separated so you know where to find what you need while out on the road, and separate clean and dirty laundry with little to no effort!

While out and about, are you one that wants to get a little work done? A table tray could just be what you need for your trailer. You can use it when needed, and then it collapses down for easy storage in your headboard!

Pro tip: Double up its purpose and be sure to use it for a breakfast-in-bed setup!

Galley Essentials

Next up is the galley! Once you pop open the hatch, all kinds of magic can happen here. You’ll be able to test out many recipes as you whip up breakfast, lunch, and dinner. In the TOPO2, your galley is fully equipped with a two-burner ENO stove, sink, a 75L YETI cooler, a magnetic GSI knife set, a fold-out table, cutting board, and a beautiful stainless steel countertop.

One nice thing about camping in an Escapod is being able to bring those heavier items along. We love using a cast-iron skillet for bacon in the morning or a cast-iron dutch oven to make some campfire chili for dinner.

We hope this sparks some inspiration for what you’d like to get for your pod. The best part about getting all of your necessities is that you have the freedom to customize it and make it truly feel like your home away from home.
